Except for that darn humidity. It was fun to see gecko's everywhere! I was impressed how Hillsborough LE is handling the investigation and have no doubt that in the end, it will be a strong case. Although I will be very happy in the end,,someone else might not be.<br />
Glad to be back in cooler weather. :)<br />

So if daughter is not theirs biological and her original birth certificate has him listed as daddy, it is therefore false. She was step mommy until she adopted said daughter in TX. Kind of wild that one would waste someone's perfect male embryo for selfish purposes.<br />
If you have trouble filling in the blanks I can help. This is part of a public file on a case where detectives had to go in and get DNA because Samantha Keegan played with the heart of a gentleman who was looking for a carrier. She made him believe she could carry a baby, but has never and can never carry a baby. She did this after doing the samething to a married couple. The devastation she left behind was incredible.<br />
Also, the reason why they had to change their names, social security numbers etc is laughable. Like really??? You can do that legally???? HA!<br />
And IF you are wondering why no charges were brought up it was because the only reason the detectives were interviewing the Walsh's aka Keegan's was they had a warrant and the warrant allowed them to take DNA samples on baby and Colm Walsh/Cormac Keegan and to remove anything that appeared to be tied to the investigation. They WERE NOT THERE to prove if they were legally Samantha and Cormac Keegan. Good thing is that they now have record of their statements in regards to who they are, and what their game was. There are other such records, which are all public through the Hillsborough County clerk of courts. You can get the REAL story there if you take the time to do so. I thank the individual that did so. :)<br />

What if DNA test shows Surrogate and her partner are bio parents, not intended parents?Isn't it a no brainer IF baby's DNA shows he/she matches biological mom (surrogate) and her partner DNA and not that of the intended parents that the baby will go home with his/her bio parents? Makes sense to me, but am wondering why the intended parents, in a certain situation that I am aware of, seem to think this unborn baby will be theirs to take home from the hospital. Isn't the fact that this baby is not biologically connected to the intended parents make the contract null and void? Just curious. :)AdoptionScams&Unethical practiceshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01702156430635194743noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2860203047418709483.post-32655695852339373322017-05-07T08:16:00.001-07:002021-11-16T12:58:25.972-08:00When a scammer gets scammed.<div class="_5va4">

If you are interested in a certain case, I encourage you to do so. It can be quite eye-opening.<br />
It can show you how two people can't keep their stories straight, or how there is evidence laying around that can show one how these two people forge legal documentation,,which of course would make it illegal documentation. The greatest part is the investigative records can now become part of an even bigger investigation.<br />

Samantha and Cormac Keegan, the judge wants his stamp back. :)<br />

Great site to get some questions in regards to surrogacy, answered!<br />
<br />
Yes, it is illegal to use ones state or federal medical to cover a surrogacy. When one does this, think of all the other laws one breaks to legitimize the child born in surrogacy situation. <br />

Had to grab this article as a cache because the link broke trying to go to the Tucson newspaper for some reason.<br />
This story gives one hope that when you are scammed by someone who is an expectant mom, and she has made an adoption plan, has the legal right to change her mind but chooses not too,,can be brought before the courts as a case of fraud because of her failure to do so and second charge of continuing to receive funds she is not entitled too.<br />
This fraudster also enlisted her sister to act as her landlord. There are ways to verify who owns the home one is paying rent for. Think people need to figure that out before the pay. Check property tax records is one way.<br />
<br />
Will be interesting to see what her sentence is. I also have a feeling, given her history of fraud, that she will be back at once she is released.<br />

For a Boston couple longing to be parents, it was a devastating lie told again and again for a little over $6,000. </div>
<div class="subscriber-preview">
For a Tucson police detective, it was a highly unusual request.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Adoption fraud was an area of the law Tucson Detective Jennifer Burns had never explored before, but she soon called back Cindy Cantrell and Jack McHugh to say yes. </div>

Cantrell hoped an investigation would ensure Karla Vargas and Vargas' twin sister would never subject another couple to the grief they endured. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Vargas, a 35-year-old mother who has reportedly had 12 children and a long history of child welfare issues, admitted in a December plea hearing only that she lied about the amount of rent due, said her attorney, Michelle Bowen. Vargas declined an interview request.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
But Cantrell and Burns say the deceit was deliberate and carried out from the beginning, when Cantrell and McHugh first signed the adoption contract in July 2015. They said Vargas never intended to give up the twins she was carrying that year, and only sought the contract to get money.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Like all birth mothers involved in adoption plans, Vargas could change her mind at any time during her pregnancy and for up to 72 hours after giving birth. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
But Vargas never told anyone involved she had changed her mind, Cantrell and Burns said. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Instead, the detective found Vargas and her sister, Lucianna Lopez, tried to get more money from the couple after Vargas had given birth a month early and then kept it a secret. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Lopez was also indicted on charges of fraud and forgery in the case but has not pleaded guilty, as Vargas has to the one count. Lopez's attorney, Richard Kingston, declined an interview request. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Vargas could be ordered to spend up to 8.7 years in prison or up to five years on probation at her sentencing Tuesday before Pima County Superior Court Judge Casey McGinley.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
The twins -- a boy and a girl -- are now just over a year old, their well-being and current caregivers not a matter of public record.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Cantrell and McHugh started training to be foster parents last fall, a final attempt to adopt the twins who were removed from their mother's care by Arizona's Department of Child Safety in May. But a short time after completing the initial steps, the Boston couple realized how complicated and prolonged that process would be, and have since entered into an adoption agreement for another baby.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
While they are overjoyed to have another chance to become parents, Cantrell said it has taken a long time to recover from an experience she describes as "psychologically violent."</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
BREAKER</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
When Cantrell contacted the Tucson Police Department a year ago, Detective Burns said it was the first time she'd heard of adoption fraud allegations in her 16 years with the department, including a decade working financial crimes. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
"The case started up quite a discussion," she said of her unit. "We were not familiar with the laws of adoption."</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
What motivated Burns to try to build a case were two things Cantrell had reported to police: Vargas kept the births a secret and then tried to get money after the babies were born while pretending to still be pregnant. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Cantrell and McHugh first connected with Vargas through the California-based Adoption Network Law Center. They were told Vargas saw their profile online and chose them as adoptive parents. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
"We were thrilled when we were matched with Karla so quickly," Cantrell said, explaining they'd been through an interrupted adoption just a few months earlier. "It seemed like a fairy tale to us that she was due at Christmas."</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
The idea of raising twins made them pause for only a moment, she said. They were thrilled. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
"I thanked her again and again and again for choosing us," she said. "We felt so fortunate." </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
As part of the contract, they agreed to provide monthly support through the Law Center. They also paid Oasis Adoption Services, Inc. of Tucson for its services for Vargas, and had their own provider back in Boston.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Vargas and Lopez set them up from the beginning, Burns said, by telling them Lucianna Lopez was Vargas' landlord and exaggerating by $100 per month the amount of the rent due. The couple did not know the sister "Lucy" they would later meet was the same person posing as Vargas' landlord, police records show.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
In addition to rent, the couple also paid Vargas' monthly food bills, bought her maternity clothing, set aside money for counseling she might want and paid for her phone and bus passes. The total over those four to five months amounted to $6,014.95.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Looking back, Cantrell said there were warning signs right from the start. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
The first was that Vargas did not get in touch with anyone as promised after she found out the babies' genders.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
She also told them her cell phone was going to be turned off, which was perplexing since Cantrell and her husband were paying the bill. And a couple of times they were asked to pay rent early because the landlord was "going on vacation." </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
"It was always something, it was always something," Cantrell said. "I knew she'd had a tough life and it made me uncomfortable and sad, but I kept giving her the benefit of the doubt." </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Vargas also didn't seem interested in meeting the couple -- which Cantrell said they respected as her choice -- but then she suddenly changed her mind and had them come the weekend there was a pro football game in Phoenix. Cantrell said Vargas and her sister kept suggesting they all could go see the game -- they are both Dallas fans -- and were so focused on getting there that, to Cantrell, it seemed the reason they'd invited the couple out.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
But there was also a tender moment that September weekend, when Vargas invited Cantrell along to an ultrasound appointment. Cantrell said when she saw the twins, she felt overcome with love and excitement.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
"I thought, 'This is real. This is happening,' " she said. </div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
When the technician printed out the photos and asked who should take them, Cantrell said Vargas "snatched them away" and put them in her bag.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
Cantrell tried to be understanding, but in hindsight sees that was another indication things weren't right.</div>
<div class="subscriber-only">
"Those are her babies and those are her pictures and I respected that," she said. "I felt like she was feeling defensive and I felt terrible about that."</div>

Say an infertile couple, who uses a fraudulent identity, wants a baby so they decide to do something similar to surrogacy. In fact they call it a surrogacy. They find a married gal who is willing to get pregnant for them, but not with the help of a medical or surrogacy professional. They decide instead to order an insemination kit online so they use his sperm and the new married friends uterus, therefore her egg and quietly to the deed. AND they also use an old surrogacy contract,,tweek it a bit to fit their needs, and call this act a surrogacy. Oh and throw in the fact that they live in a state where this kind of deed is actually called an identified adoption and does not recognize this type of surrogacy.<br />
<br />
Brings up some questions,,huh? I know I have some.<br />
<br />
1. Who's name goes on the baby's Original Birth Certificate? The married friend, right? She is after all the biological parent. And then the male sperm donor, as he is bio too.<br />
<br />
2. Since you have identified the two bio parents, and if the bio dad's wife wants to be the LEGAL parent she must do a step parent adoption,,right? So that means the bio mom needs to legally terminate her rights to the child. How do they explain the conception of this baby to the court? Do they tell the truth? They probably will lie and state something like,,,sperm donor had an affair with the married friend.<br />
<br />
3. Now if they use false identification, and have documents stating they are someone else other then their true and legal selves, how do they file a petition for adoption? DNA has proven he is the father, but on the Original Birth Certificate who's last name does he carry? The fraudulent name? or the true legal name of the father? When this child gets older and the true identity of the sperm donor is found out, will the child have a legal birth certificate? What will the child believe about his parents,,his bio parents? How much will he trust them? Because if they lied from the beginning, what else are they lying to him about? All for very selfish reasons.<br />
<br />
4. In a legal surrogacy, funds can legally be given to the carrier of the baby. If this act was not done legally, could they all be charged with child/human trafficking? I think so.<br />
<br />
5. Another thought came to my mind. What if they don't do a step parent adoption??? The bio dad could threaten the birthmom with child support if she ever said anything? She may stand to loose a lot, especially if she has other children in the home. Uffda, what a wicked case of bribery that could be.<br />
<br />
6. Who paid the medical bill for the birth of the baby? Or for the pregnancy? Was it done legally? OR maybe bio mom was on state care and the people who paid taxes in the state of birth, paid for it. Is that considered medical fraud of some kind? or welfare fraud???<br />
<br />
Oooh the web people weave!<br />

She has only been sentenced for one of her many scams. In the past she has scammed in adoption, through her local charities, she played off as a victim of Katrina, as a surrogate, even did an illegal adoption and falsified the child's birth certificate! She was convicted and sentenced for setting up a "go fund me" account by pretending to be a family member of the young lady was killed. It just goes to show you how low some people will go and how far they will go when they are constantly getting away with these scams. She reminds me of Halaina Walsh, aka Samantha Keegan. <br />
<br />
JACKSON, Miss. (WTVA) – A Union County woman is heading to prison after being convicted of scamming people following the death of 19-year-old Jessica Chambers. On Monday, Nov. 14, Janet Lee Posey, 41, of Blue Springs pled guilty to one count of false pretense. She was arrested in December 2014 after an investigation revealed she started an internet scam to raise money for the family of Chambers without their consent or knowledge. However, Attorney General Jim Hood says Posey never intended to give that money to the family but instead take it for her own personal use. <br />
Chambers was found burned on Dec. 6, 2014, and later died at a Memphis hospital. Twenty-eight-year-old Quinton Tellis was charged with capital murder for the death. Following her guilty plea, she was sentenced to 10 years in prison with three of those years suspended, leaving seven years to serve. Union County Circuit Court Judge John A. Gregory also sentenced her to three years of post-release supervision and to pay $1,433 in court costs. <br />

After listening to the podcast, I kept thinking "how can we stop her" and others like her? One thought was to inundate her local police department, the Attorney General's office, her local prosecutor's office, with calls, facts and documentation. But as you hear, she is not doing something that is deemed illegal, but what she IS doing is highly immoral and unethical, and she does it with no conscious, feels no empathy, it is well planned out, and she needs mental health therapy. She pulls these scams and it seems she never looks back to access the damage, but keeps moving forward and on to the next. What kind of person gets joy by playing the dying victim,,, a person who needs major mental health, and it is my prayer that her son has not been so damaged that he thinks his moms antics are ok. I would also like to call out her roomie, Linda Hodges,,,,, Hello??????????? Linda, what the heck do you do,,,sit back and listen to April on the phone as she is playing with peoples lives???? Where do you go when people are knocking on the door???? How are you protecting the child in the house??? Who will decide when April has taken this all too far?? </div>

<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: small;">Assistant Attorney General Leslie R. Caldwell of the Justice Department’s
Criminal Division, U.S. Attorney James A. Lewis of the Central District of
Illinois and Special Agent in Charge Sean Cox of the FBI’s Springfield,
Illinois, Division made the announcement.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: small;">Nicole Eason, 37, and Calvin Eason, 47, both formerly of Danville and
Westville, Illinois, were sentenced by Chief U.S. District Judge James E. Shadid
of the Central District of Illinois, who also ordered each to serve a lifetime
term of supervised release. On Dec. 18, 2015, a federal jury in Peoria,
Illinois, found Nicole Eason guilty of two counts of kidnapping and one count of
transportation with intent to engage in criminal sexual activity with a minor.
On Nov. 6, 2015, Calvin Eason pleaded guilty to all three counts in the
indictment.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: small;">Evidence at trial established that in 2006 through 2008, the Easons sought to
adopt through an informal process sometimes referred to as private “re-homing,”
in which the legal adoptive family can no longer care for a child and transfers
the child to another’s custody. In 2007, the Easons communicated with a minor’s
parents about rehoming and misrepresented material facts about their background
to gain the parents’ trust, including, among other things, that they had a home
study “waiver,” which was used to verify the Easons as fit caregivers. Based on
these misrepresentations, one of the minor’s parents transported the child
across state lines in 2007 to live with the Easons. The minor testified that
while in the Easons’ custody for nearly a month, both Nicole and Calvin Eason
repeatedly sexually and physically abused her.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: small;">Evidence at trial also established that in 2008, the Easons kidnapped a
second minor in the same manner, who was with them for a few days. That child
and a third identified minor victim testified that the Easons subjected the
minors to inappropriate sexual behavior and “grooming” while in their custody.
All three minors also testified about the deplorable living conditions in the
Eason home.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: small;">The FBI’s Springfield Division investigated the case in cooperation with the
Vermilion County, Illinois, Sheriff’s Department. Senior Trial Attorney
Jennifer Toritto Leonardo of the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and
Obscenity Section (CEOS) and Assistant U.S. Attorney Elly Peirson of the Central
District of Illinois prosecuted the case.</span><br />
<span style="font-family: "arial"; font-size: small;">This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide
initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse
launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by U.S. Attorneys’
Offices and CEOS, Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state and local
resources to better locate, apprehend and prosecute individuals who exploit
children via the Internet, as well as to identify and rescue victims. For more

Wonder if the baby's biological mom can win custody of said baby, if she was able to prove biological dad is going by a fraudulent name. Wonder if biological mom's name was on the baby's original birth certificate in the first place. Wonder if fraudulent names were used in a surrogacy contract, if that contract was still legit.<br />
<br />
According to Florida law, a "traditional surrogacy" is like an adoption. (see an earlier post) or look up the law. Here is interesting info in regards to birth father rights in Florida.<br />

Do you feel like this surrogate has lied to you? Have you checked your contract carefully? Is it signed by all parties? Did she say she miscarried but yet won't go to the clinic that did the implantation? Won't show you proof of a miscarriage? Seems to be very secretive?<br />
If you feel something is not right,,it something probably isn't. You should question everything, because chances are this person has done this before.<br />

<br />
Here is an interesting example:<br />
<strong><strong>An Opportunist Psychopath Never Misses a Chance to Use the Pity Ploy</strong></strong><br />
The
psychopath also can’t spell which is an inconvenience sometimes. He
said he was dyslexic, so people felt sorry for him and tried to help him
with any writing or testing he was required to do. But the real test,
was on<em>their</em> boundaries<em> of responsibility</em>. How far
would they go for a dyslexic friend who is just trying to get his
pilot’s license, so he can earn a living and feed his sick wife? Would
they falsify log books? Would they hire him to fly commercially and
illegally? Would they refer him to their friends and associates? No
license means no insurance. Would they take that risk? They did and
they still do. Now he has them ensnared in his illegal behavior. What
else will they have do to protect their own reputations, families and
finances, now that they’ve taken the first step down the slippery
slope? They’ll have to protect the psychopath first. What they, and I,
failed to consider is that the pilot’s license tests are MULTIPLE
CHOICE. To take the test, you don’t have to know how to spell. And the
psychopath<em> reads</em> just fine, he reads the maintenance manuals for keeping his aircraft airworthy and does the work himself. Duped again.<br />
The
psychopath’s dyslexia may seem a disadvantage, but in a 180 degree
maneuver, he uses it as part of a pity ploy, asking people to make
exceptions for his disability –and nice people do. They expect
gratitude but they will get the opposite. He will use this favor, that
you did for him, to slide into your circle of trust. From there he might
offer to work on your aircraft or car to show his appreciation. He’ll
make you feel safe. Then he’ll sabotage you. Ted Bundy used a fake
cast, but this psychopath uses his real disabilities. It doesn’t matter
if it’s real or fake, since they both work equally well, in the pity
ploy.<br />
I’ve noticed that psychopaths rarely have just one goal.
They layer their goals. The first step is always to gather minions who
will do their bidding. Whether the psychopath wants sex, money, power
or just needs drama, he will bring his players together like a conductor
at a symphony.<br />
They usually also plan an exit strategy, but it’s not very well planned because they don’t think they will lose.<br />
For
example, the psychopath became friendly with the cops in three counties
and with homeland security. But he forgot the FBI. That was a chink
in his armor. He also thought I wouldn’t figure out that he was
planning to kill me, another mistake.<br />
The last big mistake that
all psychopaths make today, is to underestimate the power of the
internet. Once everyone learns to recognize their behaviors and
strategies, they can’t hide and there will be nowhere to run –except off
an ice shelf in the arctic.<br />
<br />
<br />
Why do psychopaths lie? Actually there is a method to their madness. The psychopath’s lies are
usually 180 degrees the opposite of the truth. These lies serve the
purpose of misdirection.<br />
<strong><strong>Disinformation : 180 Degrees the Opposite of the Truth</strong></strong><br />
Because
they use every single bit of information they learn about us, to
control us, they assume that everyone else, is doing that same thing.
They think we would poison their favorite food and cut their brake
lines. After all, if they think that way, doesn’t everyone? When
psychopaths lie, <em>they are protecting themselves from being known and being vulnerable</em>. <strong>All psychopaths are paranoid</strong>. One psychopath I know, fears and hates Google with a passion. He <em>knows</em> Google
is collecting information on him. I can’t imagine what he thinks Google
is planning to do to him! Instead of Google, he uses Duckduckgo as his
search engine. In addition to using Duckduckgo, psychopaths handle their
paranoia by giving disinformation at every opportunity. That
disinformation will generally point in the 180 degree opposite direction
to the truth and it creates their mask. There is only one thing that a
psychopath really values and that is, his or her mask. Because most
people can’t imagine lying about everything that they are, this mask
enables psychopaths to con and manipulate, to cheat and to steal, even
to kill and get away with it because nobody ever imagined what they were
really like. They view life as a game to win and they want to win by
lying, cheating and manipulating.<br />
<strong><strong>Turning the Table on the Psychopath</strong></strong><br />
It’s ironic that empathic people trust the psychopath because we can’t imagine being so duplicitous. Yet the psychopath, who <em>relies</em> on our trust and naivety, <em>still</em> feels
paranoia, thinking that we will do unto them as they would do unto us.
The psychopath actually has good reason to feel this way. He or she,
knows that you might find out what they really are. You might
realize that everything they’ve ever presented to you was a malicious
lie. They believe that people will want revenge or will try to hold them
responsible for their evil deeds. For psychopaths, that’s a very good
reason to keep their identities, locations , “friends” and habits,
secret from you.<br />
In the past, psychopaths have gotten away with
evil by playing this game of lies, deceit and manipulation. Most of us
observed some aspects of it, but didn’t know what it meant. Now the tide
is turning. As knowledge of psychopaths and their machinations becomes
more common, the lies that once hid these abusers, now reveal them. I
wonder where they will hide next?<br />

American Fork, was arrested on Friday, charged with taking $100,400 in
payments from four families who expected he would help them adopt
babies. The families never adopted the babies but Webb kept the money,
according to court documents.<br />
Webb was also charge with four counts of tax evasion for failing to pay $226,000 in taxes.<br />
ACC has not been in business since its licensed was yanked by the State of Utah Department of Human Services in January of 2014.<br />
In
September of 2013, The Utah Division of Licensing placed ACC's license
on probation so it could become compliant after failing to follow state
rules. One of the conditions of the probationary license was that the
agency would take no new birth mothers or adoptive parents as clients
for six months.<br />
Charging documents say that during that period,
Webb took payments from the four families. According to the families,
all the adoptions feel through and they did not get their money back.<br />
Webb
had problems years earlier. His agency facilitated the adoption of a
newborn baby girl to a Utah family. The birth mother did not reveal
that her estranged husband was not aware of the adoption. The father,
Terry Achane, sued and got his baby girl back. According to the Salt
Lake Tribune in 2012, the judge in the case said he was "astonished and
troubled" by the adoption agency's role in circumventing the father's
rights<br />

Stealing a child, tears apart 2 families. You can read it in this story.<br />
For the little girl?? Where does her loyalty and love lie? The adoptive parents understand that and therefore understand the reason why she should reconnect with her family, and offer this dad some peace. Those are some special people.<br />

The purpose is because of the damage this woman is capable of doing to her victims. Evil doesn't begin to describe it.<br />
So in protection of others (seems to be a catch 22 because all I wanted to do was protect people), I will suspend my posting about her. My faith lies in the justice system still, she will face them and like all of us, she will meet her maker one day and have some "splainin" to do. I can sleep with that knowledge.<br />

She is also going under different names, stating she is homeless, sleeping in her car. She is from <span class="null">Philadelphia/Reading PA area. She has a long history of scamming, both with being pregnant and not being pregnant. She has been convicted for it more then once, or twice for that matter. She has been on the run from authorities since Nov and is wanted on a felony warrant. Issues arise in some homes when it comes to adopting a child who has been through some major trauma in his or her life. Adoptive parents are often times unaware of how hard it is for a traumatized child to fit into their home life and to trust, esp adults. Also, there are very few therapist in most communities who can address these issues, and help/teach a new parent what their child needs or why they are so very traumatized.<br />
Having a lack of resources, parents searched the net for help from others who were walking in their shoes. Unfortunately, along the way, some parents met the Easons, and agreed to allow them to help during their crisis. What they didn't know was these people only had one reason to take children into their home and the reason was sex. <br />
In December, Nicole went to trial and was tried and convicted. Calvin plead guilty to all the charges therefore he did not have a trial. They will both be sentenced in March. At that hearing, the victims will get to have their say in regards to the sentencing. My prayer is this will be the beginning of their healing. <br />
It did my heart good to watch them hand cuff her and haul her out of that court room.<br />

Illinois Woman Convicted for Kidnapping and Transportation of a Minor with Intent to Engage in Sexual Activity</h1>
<div class="field field--name-field-pr-body field--type-text-long field--label-hidden">
<div class="field__items">
<div class="field__item even">
A
federal jury in Peoria, Illinois, found Nicole Eason guilty on two
counts of kidnapping and one count of transportation with intent to
engage in criminal sexual activity with a minor, announced Assistant
Attorney General Leslie R. Caldwell of the Justice Department’s Criminal
Division, U.S. Attorney James A. Lewis of the Central District of
Illinois and Special Agent in Charge Sean Cox of the FBI’s Springfield,
Illinois, Division.<br />
“The Easons took advantage of adopted children at their most
vulnerable state and caused them to suffer irreparable abuse,” said
Assistant Attorney General Caldwell. “Every child in American deserves a
safe home, and this conviction should send a clear message that we will
go after anyone who seeks to exploit children and risk their safety.”<br />
“Those who wish to harm children often go to great lengths to deceive
and manipulate in order to gain access to them,” said U.S. Attorney
Lewis. “Citizen jurors, however, rendered their decision in this case
based on the facts and evidence gathered and presented by law
enforcement and prosecutors, to hold this defendant accountable.”<br />
“Children are our most precious and vulnerable resource and
protecting them from individuals like Mr. & Mrs. Eason who seek to
exploit them sexually remains one of this office’s priorities,” said
Special Agent in Charge Cox. “Today, the jury sent a clear message that
this kind of reprehensible conduct will not be tolerated. We will
continue to actively pursue anyone who would destroy a child’s innocence
by violating federal child exploitation laws.”<br />
Nicole Eason, 37, and her husband Calvin Eason, 46, both formerly of
Danville and Westville, Illinois, were charged in connection with their
sexual abuse of a child. The couple has remained in custody since their
arrest in April 2015. On Nov. 6, 2015, Calvin Eason pleaded guilty to
all three counts in the indictment. Nicole and Calvin Eason are
scheduled to be sentenced on March 11, 2016.<br />
Evidence at trial established that in 2006 through 2008, the Easons
sought to adopt through an informal process, sometimes referred to as
private “re-homing,” in which the legal adoptive family can no longer
care for the child and transfer the child to another’s custody. In
2007, the Easons communicated with Minor Victim 1’s parents both through
online discussion boards and directly and misrepresented material facts
about their background to gain the parents’ trust, including, among
other things, that they had a home study “waiver,” which the parents
believed was needed to transfer custody of their child and which was
used to verify the Easons as fit caregivers. Based on these
misrepresentations, one of Minor Victim 1’s parents transported their
child across state lines in 2007. The minor testified that while in the
Easons’ custody for nearly a month, both Nicole and Calvin Eason
sexually abused her.<br />
Evidence at trial also established that in 2008, Nicole and Calvin
Eason kidnapped a second minor, Minor Victim 2, in the same manner, and
the minor was with them for a few days.<br />
The FBI’s Springfield Division investigated the case in cooperation
with the Vermilion County, Illinois, Sheriff’s Department, and Trial
Attorney Jennifer Toritto Leonardo of the Criminal Division’s Child
Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS) and Assistant U.S. Attorney
Elly Peirson of the Central District of Illinois prosecuted the case.<br />
This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide
initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation
and abuse, launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice. Led by
U.S. Attorneys’ offices and CEOS, Project Safe Childhood marshals
federal, state and local resources to better locate, apprehend and
prosecute individuals who exploit children via the Internet, as well as
to identify and rescue victims. For more information about Project Safe
Childhood, please visit <a href="http://www.justice.gov/psc">www.justice.gov/psc</a>. <br />

Would love to see how legal their "Pre-Adoption plan" really is. (they are in Florida where the state statues recognize Gestational Surrogacy, which they did not do and pre-planned adoption, which is not like your typical traditional surrogacy laws).<br />
She not only screwed with a few more lives here in the states, she took her game over seas,,into international surrogacy. It didn't take her long to show her true colors and raise red flags. She has put some people through hell and back and that is putting it kindly.<br />
Samantha has left a trail of pain. Her excuse is enough to make ones stomach turn. She is very selfish and once again she has proven to only think of herself and has no empathy to those who she has screwed over. <br />
Thankfully her "game" has come to the attentions of those in authority and now there is a paper trail. Wheew!<br />
To those who are involved with her, whether for the right reasons, or wrong, be ready for the roller coaster, because it will be a bumpy ride. No one will come off this ride without bumps, or bruises,,,even worse.<br />
For those who have endured the broken hearts, the frustrations of dealing with someone who lacks empathy, who has learned lessons on what it is like to deal with a con artist or one with a mental issue, learned the hard, hard lessons on how to trust in humanity again, you are in my prayers always. So are the children.<br />
One thing for certain, this is not the last we will be hearing of her and her sick games. <br />

State police in the
Mexican State of Sonora have filed arrest warrants for 16 people wanted
in connection with a child trafficking ring.<br />
Prosecutors allege
that children were sold in an adoption scam that went on for three
years. The children were put up for adoption, but never registered with
the state agency charged with caring for them.<br />
The accused
ringleader of the group was Vladimir Arzate. He is a state employee who
controls the state’s amber alert system and was an assistant director of
the state’s child and family welfare agency.<br />
Also accused is Jose Manuel Hernandez, the lawyer for a major Sonoran cattlemen’s lobbying group.<br />
The
two men allegedly purchased birth certificates and fingerprints of
children born at a state-run hospital, from a doctor working in the
hospital. The children were then sold to people seeking children to
adopt.<br />
At least nine children were found in the trafficking ring.
The Sonoran Attorney General’s Office is still searching for all the
biological mothers.</div>
